The cheapest TikTok API (2026)
Posts are published in English only. The rest of the site reads in ten languages; these do not, because a translated archive is one nobody keeps current.
TikTok has an official route to public data for a small group of people and none for everyone else. So the cheapest TikTok API depends on which group you are in, and on what the job returns per row.
What we charge
The official route
TikTok's Research API is free, and it is for approved researchers on an approved project. A developer account alone is not enough: you apply, describe the project and wait, and TikTok says to expect an answer within about four weeks. The other official APIs work on accounts that have authorised your app. They suit your own account, or your own customers' accounts, rather than public research on strangers. If you qualify for the Research API, use it: nothing below beats free. Checked against TikTok's developer documentation on 21 September 2026.

Other providers' figures are their own published rates as at August 28, 2026, normalised to dollars per thousand results. They change often — check before you rely on them, and tell us if one is wrong.
Normalised to dollars per thousand results, with the date each was checked printed underneath. These are blended rates rather than TikTok-specific ones, and coverage differs: several providers are strongest on Instagram and thinner here. Check coverage before you compare price.
Three jobs, three answers
- Comment export on a viral video
- Tens of thousands of rows from one video. The per-row rate is the whole bill, and the cheapest rate wins by a distance.
- Creator shortlist — a few hundred profiles
- Low volume, mostly single objects. The rate barely matters; a monthly floor is your entire cost.
- Hashtag and sound tracking, run daily
- Neither rate decides it. Fill rate does, because a row you paid for and cannot use is the most expensive row on the invoice.
Where we sit
One rate, $0.50 per thousand results, whatever the endpoint returns. No subscription, no monthly minimum, credits that do not expire, and a run that comes back with nothing costs nothing. On the comment export that combination is decisive. On the creator shortlist the absence of a floor matters more than any rate. Check both against your own list rather than ours.
